The 1st is a challenging opening hole. A sharp dog-leg from right to left, requires an accurate tee shot, leaving a long second shot into a green which slopes from back to front. A Par here is a great score to start the round.

The 2nd is a long par 3. The danger here is short with bunkers guarding the front & right hand side of the green. A well struck iron shot will hold on the green leaving the opportunity to get an early birdie on the scorecard.

Hole 3 is a short par 4, with the River Rife running down the left side. Whilst this hole looks straight forward, the well placed bunkers and small entrance to the green can make it tricky for any golfer.

The 4th hole is another short par 4. A well placed tee shot will leave a short 2nd shot into a green which tilts from back to front.

The 5th hole is a delightful short par 3. At only 132 yards & being the easiest hole on the scorecard, golfers here will fancy picking up a birdie here. Despite that, a tee shot that misses the green will leave a tough up and down.

Whilst short in length, the 6th gives golfers the option to be cautious or aggressive. Long hitters will aim straight over the willow trees to reach the green in one from the 6th tee. Shorter hitters will be able get to the end of the fairway, leaving a short 2nd shot through a narrow gap.

The 7th is a dog-leg from right to left Par 5. With trees down the right side of the fairway, favouring the left should be the goal here to open up the hole for the 2nd & 3rd shot onto the green.

The 8th hole is a strong Par 4, with danger lurking down the left side of the fairway. A fairly generous fairway is blind from golfers on the tee, therefore full commitment is needed when picking a target. Par is a good score here.

The Par 5 9th hole is not to be under-estimated. With the Rife running down the left side, the hole forces golfers the long way round to get to the green. Three shots to the green here is not un-common, meaning a 5 here is more than acceptable to round of the front 9.

The start of the back 9 begins with a tricky par 3. Club selection is critical here as there is no room for error short or long. The front bunker hides most of the green when stood on the tee, so trusting the distance is key to hit the green.

The 11th, is arguably the hardest hole on the course. Whilst it does not state this on the scorecard, this long, straight Par 4 will require accuracy and distance off the tee to set up a long iron into a green that slopes from left to right quite severely. A Par will feel like a birdie here.

The 12th is a slight dog-leg to the right, therefore a tee shot down the left side of the fairway will leave a mid to short iron into the green. This hole looks innocuous, however this is not to be taken for granted.

The 13th, doubles back the opposite way to the previous hole. Whilst the length of the hole is not long, it can still play slightly longer than its yardage. Hitting up to a green with bunkers short, right & left of the green.

The 14th hole, offers golfers a choice off the tee, either cutting off the corner, or playing down the left side to get a good view for the 2nd shot. With a ditch running down the left side of the fairway, accuracy again is key from tee to green.

The longest Par 3 on the course. At 217 yards the 15th hole will provide golfers of all ability a test to make Par.

The 16th hole is mid range Par 4, which has a ditch down the left and trees down the right side. In front of the green lies a penalty area also, which needs to be negotiated.

The penultimate hole, has a wide fairway to aim for off the tee. A straight Par 4 and a good chance for a late birdie in the round with 2 good shots. The green on 17 is deceptive with subtle breaks.

The 18th is a strong finishing hole. Out of Bounds looms down the left side, pushing golfers out to the right from the tee. A down hill second shot to a green that runs from front to back making it a tough Par 4.
